Welcome to my design world.

I have shown below a representative sample of some of the designs I work with. Most of the designs can be knitted into any garment.

The newer designs are toward the bottom of the page.

This now includes my China Project work based on buildings in Beijing.

To keep the page loading quickly I have created "thumb-nail" images. If you want to see a larger picture just left mouse click on the small image and use your browser "back" button to return to this page.

Well this is one of my hard worked and fairly elderly Pfaff/Passap Electronic knitting machines. They have made literally hundreds of garments between them with very few problems. I originally used the "Jacob" software but as computers have got quicker I now use "DesignaKnit 6 & 7".
"Dolphin"-not an original design but a modified childrens "Metbury" jumper now seen here modified to a size 42"

"Millenium". A very popular design for the year 2000 and still often requested. This one is a pintuck jacket based on the letter "M" repeated and reversed.

"Millenium Collection". A variation of the design knitted  in a fine acrylic yarn and steam pressed.

"Chernobyl". A selection of jumpers knitted by me selected by children and helpers from Chernobyl on a visit to the High Peak. For more details of the Chernobyl Childrens Project (UK). e mail for more details. 2006 is 20 years after the Chernobyl reactor disaster but children are still dying as a result of it.

"Christmas"-Designed for Christmas 2002 this design is based on the concept of a Christmas Tree. The item displayed is a small crew neck jumper but like most of the designs can be incorporated in almost any garment.

"Zebra". Inspired by a holiday in South Africa in 2003 this pattern is based on the stripes on the head of a zebra around the eyes.

"70". 2005 design was the "70" designed for a special birthday. The "7"s are reversed and inverted around the "0".

"Philippi".The 2005 design. Based on a holiday, where Europe meets Asia this design is based on some of the glorious remains where St Paul once visited. This has now been used by me on a number of garments and is very effective you can see some of the original mosaic tiles which have been converted into designs and these have been used in the final garment.

"Summer Palace, Beijing is a huge building and this is one small part of it which looks a little similar to a band stand. It was certainly used by musicians although the music style was very different from the sounds we are accustomed to. The top image is the building on which I have based my design and the image below is my design in DK7. The images below represent some test pieces I have created to see how the design looks made up.To see the larger image left mouse click in the small image.

"Temple of Heaven", Beijing was visited on the same day as the Emperors Palace , Tiananmen Square & Beijing Zoo but still impressed. The top image is the Temple and the lower image some detail from the gloriously decorated building. The first image below is my design in DK7 followed by some test pieces.
